A Week in Wildwood NJ

My family and I (P and E included) had an absolutely amazing time down the shore in Wildwood. They have a huge boardwalk with 3 piers full of rides and games, a ginormous beach with a rubber walkway halfway down to the ocean so you can walk better, and we were 2 houses down from the boardwalk so getting there and to the beach was a breeze! The best part was spending 5 days with my niece and nephew. When I went to bed they were there and when I woke up they were there. I couldn't have asked for anything better.

We spent Monday at the beach. E, J and my mom had gotten new boogie boards that morning so they all brought them down. P and I decided to take a swim (ok he convinced me as I haven't been in the ocean in years past my lower calves). HOLY SMOKES! The ocean can wear you out faster than anything else! I made it out a little ways and had to go back in I was exhausted. We were out to our lower bellies (on me) before I got tired from jumping the waves. So I went back and laid down to read for like an hour. After that we did it again. We got much farther out and rode some waves. Then P had to lug me back in as I was totally done. Even kicking wasn't going to happen. My mom and aunt said when I walked out of the ocean I looked like I was going to drop dead. There was no color in my face at all and I was staggering. Scary to think what the waves can do to someone at this stage of CF. After that I again laid down and read some more till we all went back to the house.

Monday night was our big trip to the boardwalk. Everyone was riding rides and playing games. I stayed down with my niece when everyone would go on the roller coasters. J and E did a bunch of the kiddie rides when E wasn't on the adult roller coasters! My mom's boyfriend went to find a bar as he isn't a huge rides fan, and then a bit later P decided to catch up with him for a drink then meet us back on the pier. Well we eventually left and my mom called her BF to tell to him to tell P to meet us on the 2nd pier. P wasn't with him. So I went back to the pier to look for him. I must have missed him on the tram car (they have a tram that goes up and down the mile long boardwalk and P said he had hopped on so I must have missed him walking past it) because he was no where to be found. I headed back to the 2nd pier and as I did so I saw an ambulance and fire truck with their lights on. It made my head think and I started to get all teary eyed. By the time I found the rest of them I was full on crying and couldn't stop. I did this for the next hour. I was having fun and taking pictures but I couldn't stop crying. Eventually we went back to the house and P was there. Oh also he and I had left our phones at the house so we couldn't call each other). I was so worried I lost him lol. At least I know just how much I love him and got a glimpse of what would happen if I ever really lost him.

The rest of the week was great too. Wednesday P and I went para sailing and jet skiing!!! We were 375 feet above the water! I held on for dear life! I get motion sick and we were the last couple to go up so by the time we did, I was green and ready to hurl all over the place. Luckily I was able to keep it down but for the rest of the day I was a bit nauseous.

After that we met up with my sister in law and the kids at the water park. It was my first time at one and we had a blast! I actually climbed the steps up to slide down! 94 steps holy moley! I did it 5 times over 3 hours lol. There are different levels so I would stop at each one and take a few breathers for a minute or two. And I walked very slow up the steps, letting people pass me. The lines were super tiny so I wasn't worried about that part. Though a long line might have been better on the lungs!

We definitely had a great time and I am so glad we got to go. I am looking forward to our family camping adventure the end of August.

33 days till my 30th birthday!

My title really has nothing to do with my post I just wanted to say it LOL
I must apologize to my bloggie friends for not posting recently!  I have been busy with minor things and visiting family etc.  School starts back tomorrow and I will be back on the blogging bandwagon again.

This past weekend (which was Labor Day here in the States) Peter and I went away to a friends cabin up in NH.  We had so much fun!!!  You have to get to their cabin by boat which just rules!  No cars, no traffic, no telephone poles!  Just pure nature.  We had a fire going for most of the weekend since it was chilly.  The fire was great, inhaling the smoke not so much.  I am paying for it now with some bad SOB and lots of coughing.  A few days of hardcore vesting and neb treatments will hopefully set me straight.

Saturday and Sunday the lake was too choppy to do much boating.  We went out for a bit but we all ended up drenched by the time we got back in.  Monday however, the lake was calm and the sun was shinning.  We spent 2 hours riding around and it was awesome.  I love the wind and sun in my face!  We saw para-sailors and other boaters out.  I took a picture of a bridge I want to sketch too.  All in all a fabulous day.

As I stated earlier, tomorrow school starts again and I can get back to a routine.  This time I will have the full 9.5 months to get into one before next summer starts.  This week will be hectic since we are going back down to PA this weekend for my god-daughter's first birthday party.  So next Monday all hell will break lose here in MA!  I am still vesting, now I need to exercise.  I plan on starting at 3 days a week and working my way up.  M-W-F will be my Jillian Michaels days.  T-Th maybe I can take walks around the lake here.  I will need to bring my O2 though, as I know I will be walking a lot if I go.  My tolerance needs to be built up, both in my muscles and in my lungs.

While I can sit and bitch about the hell of my day so far I won’t. I’ve been home for less than 12 hours and it has been HELL HELL HELL. I should have stayed in Swampscott!!!!

So instead I will talk about my awesome visit with Shawn and Tina!

I got up there on Saturday night. It started out rough. Apparently my grandparents are watching over me. My Jeep fishtailed and hydroplaned on an on ramp and I missed the guardrail and the cars coming at me as I spun around. I ended up facing the wrong way on I-295 as cars were going around me. I pulled off to the side and was like “WTF just happened?”. I didn’t cry, I didn’t shake. I just sat there wondering how the fuck I was still alive and didn’t hit ANYTHING.I made it up to Boston without another incident but boy was I nervous for the next two hours after it. Guess I need some new tires!

Sunday we did some witchy things in the rain. And then went to Tina’s brother’s house (who is cute LOL) for dinner for his birthday and their aunt’s. It was a lot of fun. A very entertaining group and I can see where Tina gets her personality!!! (It’s a good thing Tina!!!). Sunday night we went to the house of Seven Gables based on Nathanial Hawthorne’s novel by the same title. It was really cool.

Monday we did more in Salem and Marblehead and visited the lighthouse. God it is BEAUTIFUL up there! It was exactly what I imagine NE to look like. The rocky coast, the crashing waves, the blue skies and boats. I regretfully left Monday afternoon.

I loved it up there!!!!!! It was so beautiful!!! I so want to live up there!!!! The thought has crossed my mind way more than once. I could come back every 6 weeks for my DRs appointments and since I’ll be on SSDI I won’t need to worry about looking for a job. Plus I’ll have friends.Hmmmmmm……

My Disney Vacation

We had a blast! The weather cooperated mostly for us which was great. It rained the first day we got there and then one night but that was ok. It was so hot and humid I thought I was gonna die! We would walk outside and down to the bus stop and be drenched, the sweat dripping from us. I have never been covered in salt so bad as I was that week haha!! I sparkled in the light, it was cool. We saw everything we wanted to see and did all the rides we wanted to. I chickened out on doing Space Mountain. I did it last time I was there at age 7, and I was going to do it again but I was too scared. I remember being scared shitless last time so I opted to wait.

Leaving for Disney

Well not really until 3:30am Thursday morning but I know I will have a ton of stuff to do tomorrow night so I thought I would update now :)

Maggie is all taken care of. My mom is going to pick her up Thursday morning after work at 9:30am and keep her until Friday afternoon. Then she will drop her off at the kennel where she is gonna stay until Monday morning. I called today and it is all set up. I just have to pack a bag for Maggie. Then my mom will keep her again until Thursday afternoon when I come home. Or she might drop her off on her way back to work Thursday around 2:00 pm. I am glad that is all settled.

I am pretty much packed up. Tomorrow I am getting 7 of my meds delievered from CF Services Pharmacy and I have 3 I have to pick up from Rite Aid. So that will keep me busy. All I have left to pack is my meds and tolietries.

Tonight of course I am trying to upload the new Staind CD to my iPod but my fucking computer is being a bastard! It won't even read the dam thing and Microsoft support keeps trying to tell me there is NOTHING wrong with my computer! Oh really? Then why the fuck can't I upload CDs when a few months ago I could?!?! Dumbasses!!!!

I am super tired tonight but I am trying to stay up a little bit so I am tired tomorrow and will fall asleep by 10pm :)
