Bad blogger update

I'm a bad bad blogger I know...a whole WEEK without an update, shame on me.

There really isn't anything to update on. I have not improved at all since starting the Colistin. At this rate yes I will be hospitalized come next Wednesday. I have already forewarned my cubby buddy so she knows, and Monday I will let my boss know so that they can plan accordingly. Unless of course something happens and I feel tons better by then. But I highly doubt it. I think a good old fashioned IV slamming and beating will do my body good!

Today was a mighty fine day. I laid on the sofa for most of the day watching the NCIS marathon on USA and finishing up the baby blanket. I also made a cute little bag to hold my eclipse balls in for my home IVs...yes I'm a geek LOL! Last night I found all the yarns and patterns I need to make the 4 Christmas presents for my female relatives. Today I ran out to renew my library books and I stopped at AC Moore to pick up the yarn. I had no idea but if you are purchasing yarn to make clothing they don't tax you! I never knew that! The cashier asked me and I said they were for ponchos and she told me that bit of info. Good to know!!!!!!

I packed up some yarn and patterns so that I can get started on said Christmas presents while in. And I need to get some more books out too. I refuse to pay for the TV while in so I am going to need something to do for 13 days :)

Well thats all. I will update everyone as soon as I know something for sure...or I miraculously feel like a million bucks!

I did it...I joined etsy. My name is CrochetCyster :) Very fitting yes!!!!!!

All I have to do now is make a bunch of stuff and sell them online. Crochet will be my hobby and new job :)

Well not new but at least I can save the money I make so I can have dough once SSDI is a reality for me.

Finished a project!

I completed my baby booty and baby hat yesterday! I must say it looks mighty fine LOL

I just hope it fits her!!!!!! If not I will do it over. The hat took me all of an hour. It was so simple I think it might be my new favorite thing to make!!! Hats for everyone for Christmas!!!!!!! :)

The yellow ones I made for her too using a very soft and fluffy yarn. I would love to make a blanket out of it but it is $5 for 2 oz of yarn since it is made from bamboo. But thats ok...I can fins something very similar :)

I mailed them to my friend on Wednesday and I am HOPING they fit her little girl!

I am working on the baby blanket now and it is coming along. I need to have patience and crocheting is helping me with it. I find myself wishing it was done so I can see the finished project and I need to remember that I HAVE TO FINISH IT LOL

Quick update!!!!

I am doing fairly well with crocheting thoughI had a minor setback last night, ok major.  I BROKE MY NEEDLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Dam plastic ones lol!!!  I will have pictures in a few days once I finish all my practice pieces of each new stitch.

Now back to CF :)

I got the call yesterday I have been waiting for.  I can start the Inhaled Cipro study yay!!!!!!!!!!!  The coordinator of the study and my DR both feel I am a good candidate for the drug so I am in!!!  I am super excited and will meet with her on the 4th when I go to see my DR.  I am not sure how long the study last or any details but she is going to go over everything that day.  I know I will be getting blood work, x-rays, and a pregnancy test to make sure I am not prego.  I wonder if telling them I haven't had sex in 3 months will settle their minds about it LOL!!!!  She apologized for the delay.  It has been a few weeks since I spoke with her (ok like 6) but she mentioned that they ran into some snags getting it approved.  Dam FDA :)  But it's up and running now and I am going to be a part of it.  Of course barring any setbacks when I go like lower FEV1, and need of an admission I will be set.  So fingers crossed I can still do it!!!

My first attempt to Crochet

I always wanted to learn how to crochet.  When my SIL was pregnant with my nephew 5 years ago I wanted to make a blanket for him.  I never got around to it.  So here I am 5 years later and learning on my own.  I went to the store yesterday and bought needles, yarn and some instruction guides.  I started yesterday and while I am not very good, I know practice will make perfect.  I just have to find a way to hold my fingers better.  

My main reason for wanting to learn is to give me something to do when I am admitted.  I want to make a poncho for my mom for Christmas and a scarf for my SIL and step mom.  I figure I have 10 months to learn and get "good" and even if they aren't perfect they will be from the heart.  

If I ever finish the first few lessons and they look ok I will post pictures :)  So you can all follow me in my attempt to crochet!!!!
