Being admitted

Well I am going in the clinker tomorrow. FEV1 is down to 26% and I am so SOB I feel like I am strangling. Dr H said it sounds like a severe asthma attack since I benefit SO much from the Albuterol. So who knows. But looks like at least a week in lock up.

I am going to talk to them about a possible port placement. I don't wanna deal with another PICC. I'm dreading it. And as much as this admission sucks, it adds to my case that I should be on SSDI :)

Gonna go pack my bags and enjoy dinner at my dads tonight!!!!

  1. Sounds like you need this! That's a big drop for you, even if it is an asthma attack. I hope you bounce back pronto.

You were just in not that long ago though. Sorry you dropped Amy. :(

  4. New, here, new at this... Hope you are feeling better soon and the rest gives you some benefit! (even if it is the SSDI, which can be a blessing in itself.) Get those stats back up girly!

I have a friend who uses combivent instead of albuterol... just a thought.

  8. Sorry you are headed back to Club Dread. I'm on Day 9 (or 10?) and it's all running together for me. Take care and hopefully your #'s will jump back up soon.

I'm totally on the "I. HATE. ASTHMA." bandwagon - whenever I am feeling asthma-y, my #'s look wonky and not where they should be.

  10. Oh Amy, sorry you're feeling so lousy. I do hope the doctors get things sorted out while you're in there. It seems that if it is an asthma component they should be able to come up with a good & reliable treatment plan for that!! Then the tackling of the lung bugs will go a lot smoother and be more effective. I'm sending along some positive vibes for ya! {{{Hugs}}} ~Juliet
